Rockefeller tops international university ranking in measure of top cited publications
U-Multirank, an international ranking of research institutions, has again placed The Rockefeller University first globally in a measure of impact based on citations. This is the eighth consecutive year in which the university has received this top citation score in the international list, surpassing much larger institutions such as MIT, Princeton, and Stanford. The university was also recognized for having the highest percentage of its publications included among the world’s top 10 percent most cited publications.
U-Multirank compares universities globally and regionally, across five broad categories, including teaching and learning, research, knowledge transfer, international orientation, and regional engagement. Data comes several sources, including information from bibliometric and patent databases.
U-Multirank is funded by the European Commission, and its rankings are based on data from more than 2,200 institutions in 96 countries.
