Reset your password. As part of new Information Technology security measures, all members of the Rockefeller community are required to change the password that logs them into e-mail, Oracle Calendar, VPN and other IT services. The rules for the new password, devised to stay ahead of advanced hacking technologies, include using a minimum of nine characters. IT has been working with labs and offices individually to reset passwords and each group will receive advanced notice from IT of when to reset. Password resets are expected to be completed by the end of summer. For more information, go to www.rockefeller.edu/it/password.

Tennis court to reopen. Relocated to the north campus Esplanade, the tennis court will be open for play starting Saturday, May 26.

Neighborhood zip codes to change. Effective July 1, the postal zip code for The Rockefeller University will change from 10021 to 10065. Offices should continue to use the old zip code through June 30, and to delay reorders of university stationery until the current stock with the old zip code is depleted. To ease the transition, the U.S. Post Office will continue to honor incoming and outgoing mail with the old zip code beyond July 1. For more information about printed university materials, please contact Alyssa Gelbard at x7080
or gelbara@rockefeller.edu.

Rockefeller donates to PS 183. The university donated $10,000 to New York City Public School 183, Robert Louis Stevenson Elementary School. The funds, from unrestricted endowment income, will be used to purchase new equipment and supplies and cover other costs of teaching science to children in grades K through five. A group of the school’s administrators, teachers and parents came to Rockefeller at Paul Nurse’s invitation to receive the check and tour a laboratory on February 27. PS 183 Principal Josh Klaris accepted the gift on behalf of the school.
