DEI Microgrants
The Rockefeller University’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Microgrants fund innovative projects that promote diversity and equity and/or foster a culture of inclusion on and off campus. Proposals—submitted by students, postdocs, faculty, and staff—are awarded based on their quality and potential positive impact on the Rockefeller community.
The DEI Microgrant Initiative funds the following types of programs:
- Educational Workshops: These programs share knowledge through lectures, seminars, and hands-on experiences that engage DEI-related topics
- Pipeline Building: These programs provide support and resources for prospective graduate school applicants from underserved communities
- Professional Development: These programs equip participants with professional knowledge and skills that can enhance their careers
- Social Events: These programs build meaningful relationships with colleagues
Eligibility
All Rockefeller trainees, postdocs, faculty, and staff can apply.
Funding
The maximum amount for each microgrant is $3,000. Funds can be used on items related to the project, such as supplies, materials, services, honoraria for external speakers, and food/drinks served at events. Funds may NOT be used for compensation for Rockefeller personnel, buying gift cards, or giving out cash prizes.
Application Process
If interested, please submit your proposal by Friday, October 11.
